Summer is just around the corner, but we are already seeing trends trickling into the high street, straight off the cat walk. We have gathered some of our favourite trends that we have discovered so far, as well as quick guides on how you can recreate them at home.

Trend 1 – Arm Cuffs

After their popularity in the 90’s, we are ecstatic to see the revival of arm cuffs this summer. have been seen sporting them at a number of star studded events. You make them more “this season” by wearing them further up your arm, rather than around your wrist. Our Cameo mount bangles are a fabulous way to recreate this look. You can even choose your own cameos to add your own flair and personality. They can be easily attached using E6000 adhesive.

Trend 2 – Body Chains

Brass Chain for Jewellery Making | The Bead Shop

Body chains had a brief moment of popularity a few years back, however they have made a serious comeback on the SS16 runway. They have been particularly popular at the Calvin Klein shows, as well as Rodarte and we are sure there will be more designers spotted utilizing the trend. This look is super easy to recreate using a combination of chains, metal tassels and a few charms thrown in, all combined together to make a beautiful body chain.

Trend 3 – Pearls

Freshwater pearl beads | Beads Online

Pearls are a timeless classic that never seems to get boring. Pearls can work in every type of jewellery from bracelets to necklaces and even rings. The cat walk has seen a mixture of styles, from chunky chokers, through the very simplistic drop down earrings with a single pearl on the end. We particularly liked the futuristic look that Chanel created on the catwalk by combining pearls with chunky metals, to create a beautiful chunky necklace. We would recommended combining freshwater pearl beads with Swarovski Crystals for a very feminine and summery look.
